A Chair Designed for Movement
Finding your flow is key to a productive work day. That idea includes more than your rhythm of moving from emails to action items; it also means your posture. Ideally you’re standing and walking for most of your day, but at some point we all need to take a break and sit. It’s easy to think of your chair break as an interruption. The Capisco Puls active chair is here to change your mind.
The Capisco Puls is designed by HÅG of Norway, no stranger to the design award circle. Its elegant shape encourages natural, ergonomic sitting postures that give your legs a break without tempting you to sit for longer than you should. The clever design of the seat pan and “arms” on the back rest allow you to continue your posture flow through a variety of sitting positions. Try resting your elbows on the arms, sitting sideways in the chair, or facing backwards with the seat back’s arms serving as a convenient shelf for your arms.
The Capisco Puls received a five out of five stars from our expert evaluation team. Read their review here.
Great Design, Green Manufacturing
The Capisco Puls is made in Norway where environmental standards are far more aggressive than they are in America. This heritage of environmentally friendly construction manifests in the manufacturing process HÅG employs to produce this chair. The Puls is made from 24% recycled materials and is itself 95% recyclable. The polyurethane chair reuses discarded plastic parts, and its foam cushion is made from recycled car bumpers. But the Puls’s environmental credentials don’t stop with the material; the entire process is documented and audited to ensure it complies with Norway’s exacting environmental impact standards. This level of sustainability scrutiny makes the Capisco an ideal seating choice for anyone trying to minimize the carbon footprint of their home or commercial office.
Options, Options
The Capisco Puls comes in four colors: Black, blue gray, light gray, and red. With the exception of the black seat, blue gray seat pad option, all chairs have the same color plastic seat and “Nexus” seat pad. The chair is available in either black or silver base finishes. You can also select partial or full upholstery. The partial upholstery is a thinner, narrower seat pad running down the middle of the seat pan while the full upholstery is a slightly thicker pad that covers the whole seat. From our testing, we highly recommend the fully upholstered option.
The Puls can be ordered with an optional Step Up footrest. This footrest gives you a larger platform higher off the ground to rest your feet and is designed to move with the chair. It can be moved out of the way when not needed.
